Batelco email services to undergo major enhancements
Such enhancements are aimed at catering for customers’ increased usage in sending and receiving emails on a daily basis.
This initiative forms part of Batelco’s strategy to improve the quality of the email service and facilitate the exchange of information in the most efficient and effective way. The new email enhancements include significant enlargement to the default emails box size, and offering service tariff reductions.
Batelco’s inet Broadband and Dial up customers will now enjoy larger capacity of their email box which will allow them to receive more email messages from senders.
Business customers who are currently subscribed to Business/Education inet Broadband packages will enjoy a 10 fold increase in their email box size from 20 MB to 200 MB, whereas Residential customers will enjoy a 5 times increase in their email box size from 10 MB to 50 MB. Moreover, Batelco Business and Residential Dial-up customers will have their email box size doubled from 10 MB to 20 MB. In addition customers will be able to send and receive larger email messages, now as big as 10 MB.
Additionally, Batelco has enhanced the value proposition of the additional email account. Customers can now get a mail box five times larger at 50 MB for the same monthly rental of BD1 only.

Batelco’s email service was introduced with the launch of Internet services in Bahrain in 1995. Email is a value added service to the Internet that Batelco offers for free as part of its Dial-up and inet Broadband packages, in addition to extra email features which customers can optionally apply for.
